There are more than 10 million people over the age of 65 in Britain. It is estimated by 2021 there will be a million people with dementia increasing social and health care demands. Recent news on homes failing to provide the necessary standards for people with dementia continually highlight the need for support services. Most recently, BBC 1 Panorama broadcast the plight of some dementia residents receiving inadequate and poor care 'Elderly Care – Condition Critical?' The media continually flags the failings of some support services such as elderly people with dementia being sent to hospitals without a carers from residential homes.
This is a constant worry to relatives most especially those living a distance away and unable to visit as often as they would like. Driven by a passion of achieving the best outcome for vulnerable people, most recently elderly people with dementia, Sussex Elderly Care was set up. Our service is driven by compassion, empathy and commitment to vulnerable people with health and social care needs.
At Sussex Elderly Care we aim to reach out to people and help them in any way possible. We are flexible and will tailor a service to your requirements whether you are a service provider needing help operationally to run your home or an individual living at home looking for a carer or a service provider. We hold community interest values and would like to invest our commitment for the benefit of the most vulnerable in our society.
