"We would not hesitate to nominate Sussex Elderly Care for the business of the year award.
Sussex Elderly Care were recommended to us at a time when we were dealing with some significant procedural changes within our company, which needed to be resolved in a very short timescale. They were able to immediately offer their support and apply their knowledge of current regulations and legislation which helped us develop a focused action plan.
More importantly they listen to what we have to say, take on board our point of view and then come up with a plan to effectively make the changes needed to support the vulnerable adults in our care. With the aim of minimizing and simplifying systems so that we can get back to spending quality time with our elderly residents and provide the best care possible. The team are discreet, friendly and professional and we will continue to use their services to audit our business and performance.
Their knowledge of the industry and needs of our service user group are an attribute to any community.
We wish them well in their nomination."
Anita Schoonraad, North Corner Care Home

"Ina has been supporting us since October last year. In that time she has totally revamped all our paperwork, highlighted areas of concern, made recommendations of ways to improve our service, conducted audits of our staff files, health and safety, residents files, catering audits and infection control just to name a few. She has brought in professional colleagues in that time to assist and support us. I have to be honest, there are times when we felt that we were going around in circles, but if you action all that she recommends, I do think you will be pleased with the results. Being in the trade that we are, it is difficult sometimes to see the wood from the trees but she is able to pinpoint weaknesses and provide solutions in order to achieve. It is a rocky road to travel on but by achieving these outcomes, confidence does build. She has worked particularly closely with my deputy Manager and is there as a support at any time. She gives 100% and then some in her work." - Dee Johnson, Manager/Proprietor, Thornbury Residential Home

"My sister and I have known Ina Sutton since December 2013 in her capacity of consultant to the standard of care in respect of the residents of Bromley Park Nursing Home. We have noticed a distinct improvement in the atmosphere and a marked improvement in the degree of information that is available. The concept of an open door is in evidence, this is of great help to the concerns of the families of those who are residents.
In our view this change in what is a demanding occupation, has resulted from the input of Ina Sutton and her colleagues. We are sure that Ina would continue this level of expertise wherever she may be employed."Mrs J Cummings
